Suila（水啦）("the App") is a free video editor developed in Taiwan by an independent developer ("the Developer"). This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles your information.
In short: Suila collects nothing. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics, and no tracking. Suila doesn't upload your videos, audio, or edits on its own.
The App does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. There is no account system, no login, and no user registration. Your data is never sent to the Developer.
With your permission, the App imports videos and music that you select so you can edit them. All media and project files are stored locally on your device; the App doesn't upload them on its own. Exported videos are saved back to your photo library only when you choose to export, and only with your permission.
Suila doesn't upload your projects or media anywhere on its own. However, because your projects are saved in the App's folder on your device, they may be included in your own device backups — iCloud Backup, or a Mac/PC backup — if you have those turned on, exactly like the files of any other app. Videos you import remain in your Photos library, which may sync through iCloud Photos if you have enabled it. These are Apple features under your control; the Developer neither manages them nor has access to them.
The automatic caption feature transcribes the audio of the videos you are editing. On iOS 26, this transcription runs entirely on your device using Apple's on-device speech framework. Your audio is not sent to the Developer or to any third party.
The face mosaic and beauty retouch features detect faces in the videos you choose to edit, using Apple's on-device Vision framework. Detection produces only geometry: the rectangle around each face and, for beauty retouch, the positions of facial features (eyes, eyebrows, nose, lips, face outline). The App does not identify people, does not create biometric templates or faceprints, and does not use the camera, ARKit or TrueDepth face tracking.
This geometry is used solely to place the mosaic, blur or retouch on the picture. It is saved inside the project file on your device so the effect can be re-rendered without analyzing the video again. It is never uploaded, never shared with the Developer or any third party, and is not used for any other purpose. It is deleted when you turn the effect off, re-run detection, delete the project, or uninstall the App. Like the rest of your projects, it may be included in your own iCloud or computer backups if you have those turned on.
The App contains no advertising, no analytics SDKs, and no third-party tracking. The App does not use Apple's Advertising Identifier (IDFA) and does not present an App Tracking Transparency prompt.
Every feature of the App is free. The App offers optional ways to support its development — one-time tips and a monthly supporter subscription — sold as in-app purchases through Apple's App Store. They unlock nothing; the only effect is a thank-you, and a small "Supporter" mark in Settings while a subscription is active.
Apple processes these purchases. The Developer never sees your payment details, and the App does not send purchase information anywhere. Your purchase and subscription history is held by Apple in your Apple Account, where you can also manage or cancel a subscription (Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions). Refunds are handled by Apple under its Media Services Terms.
The App does not integrate any third-party advertising, analytics, or data-collection services. Standard Apple frameworks (such as Photos, on-device Speech and on-device Vision face detection) are used solely to provide the App's features and do not transmit your data to the Developer.
The App is not directed at children under 13. Because the App collects no personal information from anyone, it does not knowingly collect information from children.
All media, projects, and settings are stored locally on your device. The Developer has no access to this data. Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data.
